Troubleshooting Fox Village Dressage

If you are having problems opening or using the program, do the following before contacting us:

Make sure you have all the following files in their respective locations:

File Name

File Location

fvd.mde

c:\program files\fvd\

All (.sdf) files

c:\program files\fvd\

blank.jdf

c:\program files\fvd\support\

All (.kdf) Files

c:\program files\fvd\support\

Readme.txt

c:\program files\fvd\temp\

Check the properties of the above files and make sure none are 'read-only'

Be sure to backup your .sdf, .hdf and .kdf files. We cannot replace your data, so be sure to do this.

Is all your data complete? Are you missing any required information on any of your forms or sections? e.g. Are your entries complete with both horse and rider name? Are your classes filled out properly with date, ring and judge(s)? Have you entered all your show information in the Show Information form. Missing required data can prevent proper form displaying and report generation.

Open the program and choose Repair All Links from the menu bar. Find each respective file when prompted. Note: Make sure you are not trying to link to data files of a previous version of Fox Village Dressage. These files will not work with the new version.

Search the Bulletin Board for similiar questions by others in the group

Download a new FVD.mde file and replace your existing one. When you do this, make sure your Fox Village Dressage program is not open. You may have partially downloaded the file causing the file to be corrupt and not work properly.

Compact and Repair your data files. Choose Compact Databases and then the type of data file from the menu bar and then choose your file when prompted. You will need to do this to both your show and horse & rider files.

Make sure your screen resolution is 1024 x 768 or greater.

If you are receiving error number 3127 when you are attempting to create a USEF export file, click here.

If you're having computer issues, please refer to your operating system documentation before contacting us. Remember we've offered this software at a very reasonable price based on the premise that the "User's" peer group would help each other with support. Ron and Pete have limited hours during the day, and although we enjoy helping everyone, we need to limit that time to a minimum. Thanks!!
