We have received inquires asking why we cannot allow multiple versions of Fox Village Dressage to work with the online tools. i.e: Why do I have to update to 1.1.9 in order to use any of the online tools even if I am not using a tool that was impacted by the change. Also, I would prefer not to update in the middle of my show.

To address the first question:

We have to update the FVD application each time we make a change that impacts the interaction between the FVD application and the online tools. In update 1.1.9 we had to add code within the FVD application so the needs list, stable fees detail, other fees detail and payments detail can be uploaded. If we were not to require you to update, you would get a cryptic error message and the process would fail. Then we would get a phone call, e-mail asking why.

We don't know which of the tools you will be using. Next time it could be result uploads that we modify. It would be cumbersome to keep separate versioning for each tool and somehow explain that to all our users. Keeping the versioning simple and straight forward works better for most of our users.

To address the second question:

We have been trying to do updates on Tuesdays since most shows are between Thursday and Sunday. Update 1.1.9 was released on Tuesday, May 14 which would have given you several days to do the update if you had a show that weekend. The update is a simple file download and replace process. Remember to do a Repair All Links afterwards.

What's New

We added more detail to the Entry Confirmation Service including the needs list, stable fee detail, other fee detail and payment detail as of May 2013! We also added color coding on the Entry Confirmation Dashboad and a service to handle bad e-mails. You will now get an e-mail listing the show name, the entry number and the offending email.
